Anastroz 1mg Tablet is used alone or with other treatments, such as surgery or radiation, to treat early breast cancer in postmenopausal women. It can also be used as the first line treatment of advanced breast cancer that has spread within the breast or to other areas of the body.

Anastroz 1mg Tablet is an aromatase inhibitor. It works by lowering the amount of estrogen (natural female hormone) produced in the body. This can lower or stop the growth of some breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow.
06What If You Miss A Dose?
If you miss a dose of Anastroz 1mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Breast feeding:UNSAFE
Anastroz 1mg Tablet is unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving:UNSAFE
Anastroz 1mg Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney:CAUTION
Anastroz 1mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Anastroz 1mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Limited information is available on the use of Anastroz 1mg Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease.
Liver:CAUTION
Anastroz 1mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Anastroz 1mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Limited information is available on the use of Anastroz 1mg Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
10Drug Tips
Anastroz 1mg Tablet is used for the treatment of hormone dependent breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
Take it at the same time everyday.
It may cause weakness and sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
Nausea may occur on starting treatment with this medicine but should go away with time. If nausea is bothersome, take it after meal.
Your doctor may regularly check your Vitamin D level and bone mineral density and suggest supplements, if needed.
Do not take Anastroz 1mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
