Use of this medicine may cause burning sensation, irritation, itching, and redness at the application site. These are usually temporary and resolve with time. Inform your doctor if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients in this medicine or if you are taking any other medication. Hold the dropper close to the eye/ear without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid or ear. Wipe off extra liquid.

Anchlor Eye/Ear Drops is a combination of two antibiotics: Polymyxin B and Chloramphenicol. These antibiotics work by killing the bacteria or stopping their growth in the eye/ear. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Your doctor has prescribed Anchlor Eye/Ear Drops to cure your eye/ear infection and improve your symptoms.
Use it twice a day (in the morning and the evening). If your symptoms are particularly severe, your doctor may suggest you use them up to four times a day.
To avoid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your eye or any other surface. If it does, squeeze out two or three drops straightaway onto some tissue and rinse the tip with saltwater.
Along with using Anchlor Eye/Ear Drops, give a warm compress to your eyes/ears to get relief from itching and other discomforts.
Take care to avoid spreading the infection from one eye/ear to the other, and to other members of your family. Washing your hands regularly (particularly after touching your eyes/ears) and not sharing towels or pillows will help to prevent the infection from spreading.

Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute, immediately after instilling the medication. This will prevent the medication from draining out.
