Antiderm XL Ointment is a combination of three medicines that effectively treats skin infections. It minimizes symptoms of inflammation such as redness, swelling, and itching. It also kills infection-causing microorganisms.

Antiderm XL Ointment may be used in the dose and duration suggested by the doctor. Applying it at the same time every day will help you remember to use it. The affected area should be clean and dry before application of the medicine. You must wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying this medicine. Do not stop using it until you have finished the complete course, even when you feel better. If you stop using this medicine too early, the fungus may continue to grow and the infection may return or worsen.

Use of this medicine may lead to a few common side effects like itching, redness, and burning sensation at the application site. Antiderm XL Ointment is a combination of three medicines: Fluocinolone acetonide, Miconazole and Neomycin. Fluocinolone acetonide is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Miconazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi while Neomycin antibiotic which stops bacterial growth on skin. Together, they treat your skin infection effectively.

Q: What if you forget to take Antiderm Ointment?
A: If you miss a dose of Antiderm XL Ointment, apply it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Antiderm XL Ointment must be applied as a thin layer on the affected area as prescribed by your doctor.

Do not use this medicine more often or for longer than advised by your doctor.

Before each application, wash the affected area with soap and water and dry well.

Avoid getting it in the eyes, mouth or nose. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas.

Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.

Inform your doctor if the treated skin area does not improve after 2-4 weeks of treatment.
