Keep taking this medicine, even if you feel well or your blood sugar levels are controlled. If you stop it without consulting your doctor, your blood sugar levels could rise and put you at risk of kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, and loss of limbs. Common side effects of Blisto Trio 1 Tablet SR are nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and loss of appetite. 05How It Works
Blisto Trio 1 Tablet SR is a combination of three antidiabetic medicines: glimepiride, metformin, and voglibose. They work by different mechanisms to provide better control of blood sugar when single or dual therapy is not effective. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea that works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas to lower the blood glucose. Metformin is a biguanide that lowers glucose production in the liver, delays glucose absorption from the intestines, and increases the body’s sensitivity to insulin. Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor that prevents the breakdown of complex sugars into simple sugars such as glucose. This prevents the blood glucose levels from rising to very high levels after meals.

10Drug Tips
Blisto Trio 1 Tablet SR can cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when used with other antidiabetic medicines or alcohol, or if you delay or miss a meal. Carry a sugar source with you for immediate relief.
Your doctor may check your liver function regularly. Inform your doctor if you develop symptoms such as abdominal pain, loss of appetite, or yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice).
Individuals with severe renal or hepatic impairment should not take Blisto Trio 1 Tablet SR.
This medicine works best when used along with proper diet and exercise.
