Eltol 80mg Injection is an antibiotic used to prevent or treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This may include infections of the urinary tract, bones and joints, lungs (e.g., pneumonia), brain (e.g., meningitis), blood, abdominal organs, and some others.
Eltol 80mg Injection is an antibiotic used to prevent or treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This may include infections of the urinary tract, bones and joints, lungs (e.g., pneumonia), brain (e.g., meningitis), blood, abdominal organs, and some others.
Eltol 80mg Injection may also be used in hospitalized patients to prevent infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It is given as a drip (intravenous infusion) or as an injection directly into a vein or a muscle under the supervision of a healthcare professional. Your doctor may shift you to another antibiotic after culture reports become available. It should be used regularly at evenly spaced time intervals as prescribed by your doctor. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.This medicine may lead to nausea, vomiting, and stomach upset as side effects. Rarely some patients may develop balance disorder (loss of balance), kidney damage, and hearing loss. Therefore, please follow all the instructions given by your doctor while using this medicine.Your doctor may monitor you with regular kidney function tests, hearing tests, and urine tests during treatment. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects bother you or if your condition does not improve. This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding.

06What If You Miss A Dose?
If you miss a dose of Eltol 80mg Injection, use it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

10Drug Tips
Inform your doctor if you experience any hearing loss, sensation of ringing in the ears, or dizziness and unsteadiness.
Can I stop taking Eltol 80mg Injection when I feel better?
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
Eltol 80mg Injection may cause damage to cornea on long-term use.
Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop.
Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
Stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.
Make sure to use it within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
