Gentamax DM Drops is to be used only in the affected eye or ear. Read the label carefully for instruction before you use the medicine. Stopping the medicine too early may bring back the infection.Use of this medicine may cause burning, irritation, itching, and redness at the site of application. Gentamax DM Drops is a combination of two medicines: Gentamicin and Dexamethasone. Gentamicin is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth in the eye by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Dexamethasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.
