Larither 40mg Capsule

Larither 40mg Capsule should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Take it with food, preferably at a fixed time. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Simply take the next dose as planned.

Common side effects of this medicine include headache, dizziness, muscle pain, and joint pain. Please consult your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration. You may be monitored with blood tests once a week for 4 weeks to detect the presence of malarial parasites.

Malaria

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Larither 40mg Capsule is to be taken with food.

Larither 40mg Capsule is an antiparasitic medication. It works by producing harmful chemicals (free radicals) within the malarial parasite, thereby killing it.

If you miss a dose of Larither 40mg Capsule, please consult your doctor.

Larither 40mg Capsule should be taken with food or drinks enriched with fat such as milk.

Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.

It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration.

Do not take this medicine if you are in the first 3 months of pregnancy. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding.

Inform your doctor if you notice flu-like symptoms such as chills, fever, muscle pains and any changes in a heartbeat.

You may be asked for a regular blood test once a week while taking this medicine.

Before starting treatment with Larither 40mg Capsule, inform your doctor if you have any other health conditions like kidney- or heart-related problems. This is because certain medical conditions may affect your treatment and you may even need dose modifications. Also, let your doctor know about all the other medicines you are taking because they may affect, or be affected by, this medicine. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Q. What if I forget to take a dose of Larither 40mg Capsule?

If you forget a dose of Larither 40mg Capsule, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next scheduled dose in the prescribed time. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed one as this may increase the chances of developing side effects.

Q. Can I stop taking Larither 40mg Capsule when I feel better?

No, do not stop taking Larither 40mg Capsule without consulting your doctor even if you are feeling better. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cured. Therefore, for better and complete treatment, it is advised to continue your treatment for the prescribed duration.

In Malaria

Larither 40mg Capsule is an antimalarial medicine and is used to treat malaria, a serious or life-threatening illness that is spread by a parasite that enters the human body by the bite of infected mosquitoes. It kills the infection causing parasite and stops further spread of the infection. Take it only as prescribed and refrain from taking any other medicines along with this medicine (unless advised by the doctor) as they may affect the absorption of this medicine. Do not use this medicine for treating any other condition without consulting your doctor.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

Breast feeding:CAUTION

Larither 40mg Capsule should be used with caution during breastfeeding. Breastfeeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.

Driving:UNSAFE

Larither 40mg Capsule may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

Kidney:CAUTION

Larither 40mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Larither 40mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Liver:CAUTION
