Larmal 40mg Capsule is an antiparasitic medication. It is used in the treatment of malaria. It is not used to prevent malaria or to treat severe malaria (where it has affected the brain, lungs or kidneys).
Larmal 40mg Capsule should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Take it with food, preferably at a fixed time. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Simply take the next dose as planned.
Common side effects of this medicine include headache, dizziness, muscle pain, and joint pain. Please consult your doctor if these side effects persist for a longer duration. You may be monitored with blood tests once a week for 4 weeks to detect the presence of malarial parasites.

It kills the infection causing parasite and stops further spread of the infection. Take it only as prescribed and refrain from taking any other medicines along with this medicine (unless advised by the doctor) as they may affect the absorption of this medicine. Do not use this medicine for treating any other condition without consulting your doctor.

Driving:UNSAFE
Larmal 40mg Capsule may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney:CAUTION
Larmal 40mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Larmal 40mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver:CAUTION

10Drug Tips
Larmal 40mg Capsule should be taken with food or drinks enriched with fat such as milk.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.
It may cause dizziness and sleepiness. Use caution while driving or doing anything that requires concentration.
Do not take this medicine if you are in the first 3 months of pregnancy. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
Inform your doctor if you notice flu-like symptoms such as chills, fever, muscle pains and any changes in a heartbeat.
You may be asked for a regular blood test once a week while taking this medicine.
